So I did. My first batch was absolutely tragic and I vowed to never try again. Of course that sentiment didn’t stick very long at all. After a lot of trial and error, I was able to modify my Grandmother’s old sugar cookie recipe into the cookies we know and love today. I spent so much time understanding royal icing consistencies and perfecting my recipe. By the end of 2019, I was completely hooked and have been baking and decorating sugar cookies ever since. My hobby began to grow and soon became too much for me to just keep to my family and friends. I pursued a cottage food license and am now able to sell to anyone in the state of Connecticut. While I enjoy my full time job as a hairdresser, my side business brings me so much joy. I am so happy and proud of what Blushing Blonde Baking Co. has become.
